This account has a login name different from ingame name, and just yesterday somebody got lucky as the 2FA was finally disabled and you got cleaned out? That's fucking scary.ĭid you play regularly, lost phone, next day couldn't login so you disabled 2FA, played some, logged off and then was scammed over night, noticed next day? Or you haven't touched this account for a while, clicked a link to a forum or whatever which made you try to login and you realized it's using your old 2FA which you then disabled just so you could login? What you are saying is that some bot or whoever has been trying to login on your account for months or years. Is there any way a J mod could look into this? How could someone possibly know my exact details when I don't use them anywhere else? ![]() I use two accounts, so I know I don't have any sort of malware or dodgy plugins on RL because they would've hacked the other account too which would've seen them get away with over 150m+ as I didn't have a bank pin setup on the second account. I didn't lose much, maybe a couple mil as I had a bank pin (which they requested be removed) - I'm now a little worried about how they got into my account. The account has an original RS name and not an email, so there's no chance of absolutely *anyone* knowing my original login as it's been a different in-game name for 10+ years, let alone my password that is not tied to anyone or anything related to myself, Runescape, or anything that I use (I only used this password specifically for my OSRS account). I forgot to turn it back on but upon logging back in just now, someone had hacked me. Hi there, last night I disabled my 2FA as I needed to login and I have a new phone so I lost my old 2FA codes.
