I then covered the outside of the folder with Flower Girl pattern paper. I’ve left the dotted print on side inside so I have a base pattern to work with. I scored and folded it in half to create the folder. To start, I cut an A3 piece ( 420mm x 297mm OR 11.69 x 16.53 inches) from a sheet of Pink Designer Poster Board. It’s so easy to put something like this together for your kids. The folder opens to reveal some pre-cut cards, some matching envelopes, coloured pens, stencil, stickers and a note/drawing pad. There is also a large letter ‘E’ which I punched using my Alphabet Punch Board and some blue cardstock from the multi-colour Alphabet Punch Board pad. On the cover, I have used some Flower Girls stickers and a few elements which I have hand cut, like the ‘Chit Chat’ speech bubble from the Flower Girl Card & Frame Kit. One could also use a large elastic band or pop some self-adhesive Velcro on the inside flap. An A3 size folder, held closed by some hot pink string, which has been tied to a fastener. I’ve kept the design very simple, as she’s only five years old. I have seen lots of different types of snail mail packs on the net and I thought a special folder, made just for her, would delight her! My Daughter absolutely loves to write letters and cards to all her friends. Wrap them in any of the ways shown here, just on a smaller scale.Hello again! Chantalle with you today, to share this stationery folder I made for my little girl, using the gorgeous new Flower Girl collection. You can cover a lot more people that way and they make perfect favors for a larger get-together. I made bouquets in varying sizes, but an idea I really love (and did last year!) is going miniature. This one’s my favorite and won the coveted spot for the hand-held photo. Once you’ve covered as much of the stems as desired, wrap the string back down to the center of the wrapping and tie a bow. Wrap the string around all the stems in a single layer moving upward. ![]() Knot a loop into the string, then slip the loop onto one of the flower stems (all the stems should already be tied together with a rubber band). Cut off as much of the excess as desired. A loop tie is the same as tying a bow for your shoe laces, only the second loop is pulled all the way through, which ties a knot around the first loop. Wrap the paper over the flowers from the left side, then fold up the paper from the bottom, and lastly fold the paper over from the right and wrap it around the entire bundle.įor the loop tie, I cut a thin strip of that burlap and used it like ribbon (yea I’m really into this black burlap). Cut off the excess burlap after one roll, then tie a bow around the burlap with raffia.Ĭut a rectangular piece of kraft paper and place the flowers at one corner. Starting with the flowers bunched and tied together with a rubber band, lay the bottom half on top of the burlap roll (mine is about 6″ in width) and roll it up like a burrito. ![]() It’s definitely a moodier bunch of florals, which I like for being on the unexpected side, but really any flowers are game and should be whatever you find beautiful, always. Not your typical V-Day color scheme, but I still think it’s romantic (sure, be romantic with your gal pals). I love gifting flowers for any occasion, and like with all gifted things, putting your own sauce on the presentation makes it a lot more special, even when it’s as simple as these few ideas. ![]() This one’s with that soon upcoming holiday in mind, particularly for some galentines you might want to do something cute for that’s easy and thoughtful and CUTE gotta make sure I say cute.
